Tompkins County Legislature Declares Support for Marijuana Legalization in New York The Tompkins County Legislature has officially declared its support for marijuana legalization in New York by issuing a formal resolution. Tompkins County is in rural Central NY and includes the city of Ithaca, home of Cornell University.  Cornell stands to be in the forefront of agricultural hemp and marijuana research and must be eagerly awaiting legalization.
